Yoga Life

Finding the practice of yoga is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. When I was studying at the University of Vermont, I came across a small Bikram Yoga studio. Unbeknownst to me at the time, this studio was the beginning of what has become one of my largest passions in life.

Vermont was a winter wonderland… Although it was beautiful, hot yoga gave me the refuge I needed from the harsh winter weather allowing me to keep my mind, body, and spirit in a warm focus. Ever since my first class, I have been hooked! I am now an avid yogi; always searching for new studios, teachers and styles to expand my own flow.

While at the University of Vermont, I studied dietetics to better understand the requirements needed to live a healthy lifestyle. I decided that studying nutrition and practicing yoga actually compliment each other quite nicely, so I paired them together to enhance people’s lives from a 360 degree perspective. Now that I had created my career path and life mantra, it was time for me to start the next chapter of my life, bringing my practice to those looking for healthy alternatives.

As soon as I graduated, I packed my bags and moved across the country to Southern California. My 200hr teacher training program with CorePower Yoga was life changing! Giving people the gift of yoga is incredible; I had no idea how powerful it was going to be to watch as people transform their minds and bodies – to this day, I still feel inspired by it!

Practicing yoga improves flexibility, builds strengths of muscles and bones, strengthens joints keeping them healthy, and increases blood flow to improve circulation. I teach people of all ages and fitness abilities, catering my flow to my students’ needs.
